Smile The Kings Of Smoke Cigar Holder

    Hello fellow Cigar Smokers!
Ok, this might be the coolest thing ever made or you might think this is the dumbest (gonna show it to ya anyways! LOL!)

So we're sitting around on a Thursday (called Thinktank Thursdays) where we discuss inventions, cigars, making more money (because nobody can be with too much money...) and we came up with a recyclable product. Enter in the Kings Of Smoke Cigar Holder (attached)!! Its made up of recycled wine corks, aluminum, and a magnet. Each holder can be customized with your own cigar label as well or just made plain. The holder can be used by itself or magnetized to your cutter if its sitting on the table.

Check out the holder and let me know what you guys think. Its definitely caught traction in the casinos here in Seattle and just trying to gauge what others feel outside of the state. Please lend some constructive criticism or ideas of how to make it better.

We would love to make some new friends outside of Washington so give us a ping and say hello!

I think they are ugly. I never set my cigars down once I light them, so I don't need a holder. Man, those ARE so ugly...I'm sorry, but I may have nightmares now.

I didn't know there were Casinos in Seattle, but people in Washington like Totem Poles too, so it kind of figures that they like ugly cardboard cigar holders.

Sorry bro but illilli nailed it on the head. If I go piss or something i just set my cigar on the ashtray or table edge. I'm not a germaphobe and I keep my cutter in my pocket.

    Is that what those are?

They do look pretty shittily made. Roger made me a stained glass cigar holder one time, that while it looked pretty cool, I don't use it very much.

Remember mailman found some goofy aluminum clip one time that served the same purpose. Or, like Kevin said, the ashtray usually does a good job holding a cigar while you go take a dump, or just put it on the edge of something.

That's pretty nifty, if you ask me. I have a box of hurricane clips on a job site right now actually. If anybody wants one, let me know. I'll send you a couple for free.

Some harsh replies here, but I have to agree that the fit and finish needs some work. Maybe a better choice of materials for the actual holder, something other than aluminum. Maybe some reclaimed wood, maybe from some old cigar boxes (added bonus, built in L shape on the sides), and maybe half a cork instead of a full cork.

Not proclaiming it utterly useless, as I am sure that there are plenty of people who do use holders ( I typically use my ash tray ).

Shark Tank is harsh - it makes for great TV and it's for the best interest of the guests. Plus - I have to say - they have me glued to my TV each week.

I like the entrepreneur thing. The concept is interesting, but it sure needs quite a bit of work. The hurricane clips look better. When will you complete the finished product?

Now, you are hurting my feelings by calling what we said "harsh". It wasn't even close to harsh. After all, a person's first post is hawking his wares, in a albeit attempt at light-hearted slight of hand in the form of an opinion requests, and all we did was give him our opinions. I'd say we have been gracious!

People choose to see what they see.

Some see "harsh", others see "educational". Some see "rude" while others see "funny".

I'm not too worried because I'm pretty certain most folks would likely awkwardly smile, tell him it's "nice" and walk away. Kinda reminds me of those folks selling crudely made necklaces near the cruise ships docks at Nassau, Bahamas,

I think they're pretty stupid. The whole idea is pretty dumb for a variety of reasons:

    1. If you've already got an ashtray, you have no use or need for these. I can't remember the last time I was in a casino or a smoke shop and there were no ashtrays.
    2. They're too lightweight, unsteady and will absolutely fall over without much effort at all.
    3. They're ugly.
    4. Who leaves their $40.00+ cigar cutter laying around with a cork with a magnet glued to the bottom of it while they go to the bathroom or to get another drink? Why not just leave a note "Please feel free to steal this cigar cutter and while you're at it, I was stupid enough to leave my wallet on my seat so steal that too while you're at it."

Will, thanks for the link to the hurricane clips, I had never seen that thread before. I've been smoking in my garage lately and haven't bothered to bring an ashtray out there BUT I have a huge box of hurricane clips that I'll use for cigar holders.

Sorry QueensOfSmoke, this has got to be one of the absolute dumbest things I've ever seen.

Whatever happened to the Seattle Pilots?

At least use a stronger and smaller magnet and then embed it into the bottom of the cork! The magnets from my electric tooth brush head are crazy powerful for their size. They are neodymium magnets. I pull them off before I discard my head every few months. And with a bit of glue I've turned cheep Mexican, Austrian, and India made magnets into refrigerator power houses! But ya, who uses a holder? When I walk into a store I lay my cigar down against the wall as I walk in and hope to god no one noticed or would bother to pick it up. Haha.
