Thread: Fake or genuine?

    Default Fake or genuine?

I just purchased a box of 25 CAO Cameroon Tubo #2 today on this website http://www.tophatcigar.com/index.asp...TS&Category=45. But $114.99 seems bit cheaper than it should be. I know it sounds stupid but I have never smoked a cigar before and didn't know there were fake. I figured it out on web surffing about the cigar after purchase it. So I went to smoke shop and boght a single of Genuine Cameroon to check if online ones are fake or genuine. I think it's a great deal if they are real. I'll post up more info once I receive a box.

I am fairly new in the cigar world myself. However, from what I have heard the only cigars you have to worry about being fake are Cubans and the really high end non-Cubans aka Super Premium.

CAO are good smokes but hardly Super Premium. I doubt someone would go to the trouble to sell fake CAO smokes.

I doubt seriously they were fake. Doesn't matter, that sites has psycho prices and flat out lies about the retail prices.

    From their site:

    Punch Rothschild Cigars - 4"x50,
    Box of 50
    Retail Price $235.00
    Your Price $162.99

Has anyone ever seen these retail for over $150 a box?! There are plenty of better places to buy your cigars. Stay away from these guys!!!

WTF?! This just gets worse and worse! The Cohibas are Dominican, but I see how they led you to believe they were cuban (fucking shady bastards!):

This place is actually using images of the Cohiba Habana band to sell their Dominican Cohibas. Drdda, this shitty company is based in MO. No way are they selling any type of cuban cigar! Sorry that your first experience with an online cigar vendor was with these assholes!

ALWAYS shop and compare before you buy. Those are words to live by.

So sorry man. Definately check out a different vendor before you go buying anything else. Shopping around and comparing is definately the best way to go.

Cohiba Red Dot at Cigars International

Yep - here's the same box of 25 Churchill Cohiba Red Dots at Cigars International for about $80 cheaper.... (Cohiba Red Dots are the Domincan version of Cohiba - the legal version). I do like the Domican Red Dots, just a bit pricey!!! IMO The Cohiba XV's are a bit better, and cheaper..

Punch Rothchilds are about $111.00 (about $50 cheaper) at CI too...

CI is a trusted source - just don't get too hooked or your credit card will never be the same..

And NO ONE tell him about Cigar Bid or we'll never live it down...

    Sorry ggiese....I......I....can't resist the temptation!!!

    Drdda...check out this site!

    www.cigarbid.com

    It's like eBay for cigars!!!!

Sorry ggiese.....I had to tell him!

BUT, you owe it to yourself to also check out JR Cigars

    www.jrcigars.com

JRs is probably one of the better places to shop along with Cigars International. Great prices and great service.

    Also...check out this place

    www.mdcigars.com

another nice place out in Arizona.

STAY AWAY FROM THE FOLLOWING SITE

    www.thompsoncigars.com

Seriously....this place is another HIGH price site. Take your business elsewhere
