Ok I finally tried one of the Gurka Dos Capas I got from cigar bid. I'm no good at describing flavors and such so my review will be a bit less in depth. So here goes:

construction - great. I was very impressed that a cigar this long, 8.5 inches, with two distinctly different wrappers, would burn even from start to finish. The draw was even and consitent. The flavor stayed basically the same, maybe even getting lighter as I smoked my way through it. I did smoke this down to the numb and didn't have to force it.

Taste - rather plain jane middle of the road smoke. I was expecting something a little more dynamic and different. Wasn't there.

That being said I ended up only paying 4.20 a stick on c-bid so at that price I would certainly smoke another (and will be seeing I have 3 in my humidor) but besides the novelity of the size and the "dos capas" it really is more of a golf cigar / conversation piece.

Would I pay the 8 or 9 bucks people are trying to get for singles?

No way. For that price there are way better cigars out there.

But there are few cigars you can actually cut in half and have two robustos.

My 2 cents.
