    Default accident

Hey y'all I had an auto accident this evening. Some stupid turned left right in front of me, both cars totaled, she's not injured, but I have a real knot on my head from where my head hit the roof, my chest hurts like hell from the airbags knocking the shit out of me, and my left foot is hurting like hell. Going to the clinic tomorrow to get checked out, so if I don't post for a while, it's cause I'm laid up, or if I post something really stupid or asinine it's because I might be on painkillers . God, this really screwed up my day, I was on my way to the smoke shop to smoke and refill my humidor. I hope the who caused this (luckily she has insurance and she got ticketed for failure to yield) is more fucking careful in the future.

Probably you should go to the doctor now. I've seen many wrecks where folks look ok but they are not. Get yourself checked. Pain lets you know something is wrong.

    Thumbs up

Agreed. I have seen a number of these cases like this cross my desk, tomorrow will most likely be worse than today. Please go checked out sooner rather than later. Airbags can cause significant internal injuries which may not manifest themselve immediately. Also your head injury is a concern. If you exhibit any symptoms (blurry vision, speach issues, consentration issue, etc) go in immediately.

Damn that sucks. Damn stupid drivers! After you get checked out, get lots-o-rest. And when you can, smoke a big cigar! I hope you feel better soon!

I am an EMT and I have seen where people think that they are fine and they end up having a spine injury that they don't know about. You can become paralized. Better get checked out ASAP. Good luck man, sorry to hear about the car.

Thanks for all the kind words. Well I made it through the night, I have an appointment this afternoon at 2:15 so I'm not being too much of a macho man but not a little girl either. I will get the full checkout and tell the dr. everything that hurts. Then if I get a clean bill of health I am going down to smoke shop and have at least two of my favorite cigars, damn the cost, life is too short!

Ok, I went to the doctor today. My foot is not broken, just kind of sore from bruising, and I don't have a concussion, just a goose egg on my head, no serious problems. So I went down to my smoke shop and had a Griffin Special XI (highly recommened, this is an AWESOME cigar) and an Avo Signature double corona, feeling much better but still sore all over.

Good to hear you're okay, too bad my driving directions to IL are fruitless now for this Sunday We'll pick you up at O'Hare if you want And the Griffin is an XXI, a great cigar, had my first earlier this week, need to go buy a box for myself (if only money grew as easily as tobacco). George gifted me an XX, which was last year's release, can't wait to try that either.
