I've heard the same thing NH wrote about the temp issues. I know they're expensive. A good plumbing company should be able to come to house, assess your needs and give a free estimate. I know of a 60-bed county facility that uses two large ones (for residents) with no trouble. washers and kitchen are on old tank heaters.

I'm a couple of days late on this topic, but I spent about 15 minutes talking to a plumber about these systems today. It sounds like a really interesting system. It is supposed to be a really energy efficient system. The plumber thinks that the energy savings should balance out the higher up front costs in about 4 years (maybe quicker if oil prices keep going up).

Just thought I'd throw that into the conversation. Take it with a grain of salt, the guy that I was talking to sells and installs the systems and would obviously like me to talk them up and put them in other houses.

I'm getting one. Just figuring out which one to get. Looking at some of the oversized models for the house.

Spent the weekend putting one in between working working my normal job. So far so good. After a while of using it I'll let everyone know what I think about it.
