    Default What a shitty day

I get woken up to the phone ringing this morning. My mom wanted me to take the family dog to the pound to get put to sleep. She was 16 years old and had a stroke eariler this week, wouldnt eat anything, could barly walk, blah blah blah. I had been expecting it all week so I figured I would just do it and get it out of the way.

Well I'm on the way to pound with Cassie and my mom called again. My grandmother passed away. Just caught me off guard. totally.

I'm thinking that Monte #2 I picked up in the pass and a good bottle of aged rum are in order for the night (got to go back to the Cuban roots)

I'll be flying out to Miami for the funeral tommorrow so I'll be out the next couple of days..

ohh, yeah.. I'm at work right now finishing up a project that was due Monday, so the rum and cigar are going to have to wait. Programming isnt fun when your mind is off somewhere else.

God I am so sorry to hear that Hex. Well my life recently has gone to shit too. My accident two weeks ago is still giving me nightmares and difficulty sleeping and driving. My car is totaled, so I'm taking a major economic hit, and have to find a new car. Then my sisters marriage went to hell after he abused her during an argument last week, prompting her to leave, hide from him, and now he's doing all kinds of evil shit trying to find her.

Really sorry to hear about this. My thoughts are with you. Here is something which may give you a little bit of a breather in such difficult times. It isn't much but it is a fantastic program which may be ideal for you to look at at the moment. May help you think, reflect and , on a less philosophical level, simply amaze you. It did me.

    All the best.

My sincerest condolances. I can sympathize. I lost all four of my grandparents in about a five year span. It's rough when your grandparents start passing away. It's one of the unpleasant milestones that comes with early adulthood.

Hex, my condolences brother. It's a very difficult time when you lose a loved one, or in your case, two. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Stay strong brother.

My condolances to you and others here faced with challenges this week.

Often times its especially difficult over the internet to remember we are all at different places in our lives and some things we say may be a reflection of the hardships we are currently facing. Perhaps when reading a post with a bad choice of words or remark we should all take a moment and bite our tongues rather than bite back.

Not trying to soapbox but just reflecting.

Ok...reflection time is over. Im going outside to smoke.
