Spud - I'd hold off putting anything in there until it's conditioned. on the net, search humidor conditioning, cigar humidity, cigar rh, or some similar combo of words and you'll get several sites giving instructions that are likely close to the same. important: use distilled water. don't be afraid to wipe the ceder liner with a wet cloth - I use coffee filters (clean ones, then toss 'em). You may just be able to put a shot glass or something @ 1/2 full in the humi, lid closed for a few days. keep an eye on it - it took at least three weeks to get one ready here in west texas - it shouldn't take that long at all in Houston. You'll likely have to fight a high rh down there.
