Smoking anything anytime is not good for you. Doesn't mean it will be bad for you personally either. Like Neuro pointed out, ol' Burnsy lived to be over a hundred. So what may kill someone else may not hurt you at all. It's a crap shoot. Good luck.![]()

If you even have to ask this question, I don't think that cigar smoking is for you. Take up running, that has little health risks.
Recall that most of us live in a country where our health is governed over by a political post.
And let's face it, smoking tobacco (in any form) is unpopular these days.
So it's the job of our chief [strikeout]politician[/strikeout] doctor to warn us of the dangers of tobacco use.
In my opinion, obesity is a much bigger problem in the nation, but it's politically incorrect to say "get your ass on a treadmill".
So, really everything carries some risk with it. What risks do you choose?
Guys, don't fool yourself. Smoking is bad for you, period. "They" aren't lying to you. It's a personal choice to live with the risks. Cigar smoking is less risky than cigarrette smoking for lung cancer and heart disease, but higher for cancers of the mouth and throat. Most cigar smokers don't smoke as often, so that helps too.
Also remember, chance is chance. Some people will get lung, mouth, and/or throat cancer or emphysema without ever having used tobacco in their lives. Some will smoke like the industrial revolution and never ever get sick. That's just the way it works. The rain falls upon the just and the unjust alike.
Personally, I smoke 3 or 4 cigars a week and live with the risk.
