CAO, one of the world’s foremost premium cigar manufacturers, announced today that it will unveil the CAO CX2 at the RTDA 73rd Annual Convention and International Trade Show in New Orleans, on August 7.
The CAO CX2 (“Cameroon-times-two”) is the first cigar ever to incorporate two Cameroon wrapper leaves in one blend. Cameroon wrapper leaf is widely recognized by the cigar cognoscenti as among the most flavorful and highest valued wrapper leaf on the planet. Grade One Cameroon wrapper leaf is used for the CX2 external wrapper, with a second Cameroon leaf serving as the CX2 binder. “The CX2 is a project we’ve had in mind since we released the CAO L’Anniversaire Cameroon line six years ago,” said CAO Vice President, Tim Ozgener. “Our vision with CX2 was to take the spicy, sweet, earthy flavor profile that Cameroon tobacco is renowned for, and essentially spotlight that taste and amplify it to produce the most flavorful cigar possible.”
Packaged in boxes of 20 cigars, the CAO CX2 will be available in three shapes: ‘Rob’ (5” x 52), ‘Toro’ (6” x 54), and ‘Beli’ (7” x 56). CAO CX2 will begin shipping to select tobacconists in August.
