I don't know about cigars in general, but cubans I doubt. The reason being, I was in MI a couple weeks ago and I was thinking the same as you. Go to the Canadian duty free and check for ISOM's. Well, the trouble was, when you entered the duty free parking lot, you entered from Canada, but the exit forced you to cross back in the States, so of course there are not going to be cubans if you HAVE to enter the USA with them. Same thing with the duty free on our side. You entered in the US but HAD to exit into Canada. There again, the duty free is on US soil so you won't be finding any of Fidel's finest there either. Now of course that was in MI, it may be set up different else where. I am sure the casino will have'em but your gonna give your left nut for one.
Ive crossed at two different points in Maine and its been the same setup. You can get cigarettes, booze and perfume but not a cigar to be found in the duty free shops. Somewhat suprisingly there arent even any smoke shops near the border...just a Tim Horton's on every corner.Originally Posted by PuffTheMagicDragon
When I was in college in MI I know there were many places in Windsor to get cigars. However, thinking back to the types of stores and the types of proprietors I highly doubt they were legit.

I have never realy thought about the legal issues of selling ISOM cigars at duty free stores. I will be sure to check it out the next time I travel to the U.S.
