I for one truly appreciate your style. I may not always agree with the message, but I can't say you've been anything else other than fair. I gotta imagine that if you ran somebody off last week, they musta had it coming!!! (Hopefully it won't be me next week!!!)

There are things that I like about Club Stogie - other things I'm not too keen on. But - that's the nature of the beast. If all of the boards were exactly the same, there would be no reason for anyone to stick with one or another. "To each his own", the saying goes. I do enjoy interacting with others at CS (and, no - not just with PuroBrat...). You do seem to have quite a few decent members there (I even managed to straighten things out with Altbier, and CC and I had a great conversation with DaKlugs in a chatroom the other day - CT even seems to be warming up to us).

I realize a few of us came into CS like gang-busters, fighting and cussin' - raising a ruckus. Hopefully, that has all died down and things can go back to normal. Ask Hex - CC and I did the same thing when we came through the doors here. Things have only gotten better since then, thankfully...

I am glad you popped in here and took a look around. And I hope you come back to visit from time to time. We could always use one more wise, worldly cigar lover!!!

ClubStogie like every site has lots of great people.

CigarSmokers has taken off over the past four months and this is a pretty darn good place too. The site owner hex1848, lets things "take care of themself" here BUT intervenes when necessary just as Rod (the site owner of CigarPass) does there as well. It makes for a slightly different dynamic than other sites, most people like it while a small minority don't and move on. That's fine too, ya can't please all of the people all of the time.

We have a lot of fun here, we do passes, PIFs, trades, etc. and we like to help new guys out when we can.

Let's just say - The Island is the result of what over-modding, thread locking, post changing and deleting, will do for ya... And it just so happens, Moochie had a hand in that, although in all fairness, his side of the story is that others came in there and trashed the place - he was just trying to keep order...

OMG you've missed the greatest JOKE of a cigar board on the internet. I should really start a thread about the story of that place sometime so we can refer people to it.

Here's as short of a story as I can give you for now:

A 19 year old punk kid named Zac from California started a website called "LetsTalkCigars" in January of this year. He had essentially NO knowledge of cigars nor any clue as to how to run an on-line BB. Some guy named cigardave who was trying to sell his horrible Panamanian cigars offered Zac some free cigars and encouraged Zac to go to other sites and promote his site and Dave's cigars. And Zac, being the stupid, ignorant, suck-up punk that he is listened to him! If you check back on this site, Zac puled the same crap (see member "LetsTalk") but since this site was very new and very slow at that time, his spamming went unnoticed.

So Zac posts as "LetsTalk" over on CigarPass bascialy spamming the site. A few people from CP (including Scotty and Puro) went over to say "WTF?", Zac LIED and said "LetsTalk is NOT me" , Rod (the site owner of CigarPass) checked his IP address and confirmed that Zac was a liar then all hell broke loose. In the meantime, Scotty and Puro saw an opportunity to be "big shots" when Zac made them moderators which was a HUGE mistake since those two jerkoffs know NOTHING about how to moderate a site. They deleted posts, altered posts, locked threads, issued "strikes" insulted people along with another so-called "mod" called Oblik. They were jealous of anyone who knew more about cigars than they did (which is just about everyone in the world) and they were nasty and abusive to good people and they protected assholes and known scum like SFG75, Oblik and larrynj. A known scammer, gamelover (you Club Stogie guys know ALL about him) showed up over on LTC and that brought people out of the woodwork from MANY other cigar sites (CR, HP, StogieChat, ClubStogie, CW, CF, cA, CigarSnobs etc.) over to LTC. The mods got WORSE and banned people. The "in" crowd over there were all losers like Zac, Corey, The Sultan, Scotty, larrynj, Oblik, Purobrat, etc. so we dubbed the place "The Island of the Misfit Toys."

It got so bad that in March, Zac made it an "invite only" site which was another in a string of his stupid moves. That lasted about a month until the server he was using blew up around the middle of April. So Zac made the site public again with the old format but at this point, there were very few people left and Zac has pulled a disappearing act and has not posted since early May. The place is now a free-for-all and the few people that had come back after it went public again have ALL left. The only two people left posting over there (other than trolls) are you guessed it, PuroBrat and SFG75.

Around the end of April, I heard that Oblik was over here so I signed up. Yep, I'll admit I came here to call him out for trading fake Cohibas and putting them in a pass over on the Island. Scotty shows up to defend his "bud" Oblik and I'll admit, I went nuts. CigarSmokers was in its infancy back then and quite a few of the "regulars" (which was less than ten people at the time) had the natural reaction of "WTF? Oblik is "mod." so who are you to come here with your attitude?" Well LMFAO, sorry guys but Oblik was a scammer and people should know. Eventually we got Oblik to admit his "Cohibas" were indeed fakes, he posted an apology and agreed to make good on his bad trades. Well that was the LAST anyone ever heard of him until he was bragging to a guy at his local cigar shop in New Mexico about how he had scammed people on the internet The stupid SOB didn't realize that other cigar board members patronize that same shop. What a freakin' IDIOT.

I know I said I was going to be brief but believe it or not, I actually was because there is so much more I could tell you (LTC chat stories, etc.).

The site is the laughing stock of on-line cigar BBs. and Scotty and Purobrat were instrumental in making it what it is today. A PILE OF $HIT!!!
