  1. Default Question

Once a cigar is dried out can you bring it back to it's original state by putting it in a humidor? Or once it is dried it is ruined forever? Thanks

I did a search on "dried out" and came up with this thread.

A fairly common question with lots of answers. I would say no, due to what's outlined in the thread Corona Gigante quoted above.

Now on the other hand, some people say "Hey, ya got nothing to lose so put it in the humi and see what happens!"

I've tried this in the past and in my experience, the cigar never really comes back to life no matter how long you keep it in the humi. It just winds up tasting like a bland, dried out cigar.

Personally, I wouldn't waste the time but again, you've got nothing to lose.

I agree you can re humidify the cigar and bring it back.

But, you will never bring back those oils that the cigar has lost. If you cant bring those back 1/2 the taste is gone.

Tested this theory many times, and agree completley. (sp?)
