Thread: Camacho SLR Rothschild

  1. Default Camacho SLR Rothschild

I love this vitola! It's fat enough for a cool, even draw and plenty of flavorful smoke and short enough so I don't have to spend an hour or more to enjoy it. It's an ideal, hassle-free lunchtime smoke.

    Cigar.com says
Made in Honduras, from 100% Authentic Pinareno Tobacco. Pinareno was one of the most popular tobaccos used in Cuba from the Pinar del Rio Region- the most famous region for growing tobacco on the island. This Cuban seed is now being grown only by Caribe in Honduras. The tobacco is rich in color and flavor. This tobacco has very unique characteristics. Filler, Binder and Wrapper- all 100% Pinareno.

So it's a real puro. Cool.

I loved this cigar from start to finish: nice construction, firm but not hard, beautiful reddy/orangey-tinged wrapper. It lit easily and burned perfectly. Lots of flavor, lots of smoke. I started out trying to smoke it too quickly and it heated up a bit, but when I relaxed and put a little trust in torcedor, pausing a minute or so between puffs, it cooled down and burned perfectly down to the nub.

Many thanks to the BOTL that laid this one on me. I'm definitely going to shop for a box.

There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.
