As mentioned be prepared to empty your wallet.

Also problem free is not 100% accurate. Packages to the US have had "re-mailer" concerns.

Others have also complained about the fact that Cgars assesses US customers VAT when in fact the product is exempt from these charges if the purchaser and reception point is outside of the UK.

I have heard about the remailer concerns. I have not experienced it but heard about it.

Anyone know anything about this ? or Has anyone experienced this first hand ?

    Please post information.

When you say post information do you mean references to threads on other cigar boards? I'd rather not necessarily start promoting other sites as I don't know the policy here exactly.

To sum it up Mitchell has a contact in the US that re-ships his packages directly to the purchaser. Remailers have come under fire recently as there are a couple of other VERY reputable cigar merchants who have used the same set-up but there are some serious accusations on the table whereas the middle contact appears to be switching merchandise.

In "Cgars" case I have not heard a single complaint of the remailier switching out legit cigars. Instead some suggest that Mitchell is well aware that he is not removing the value added tax as if the product exchange and transaction occured on UK soil.

As far as Cgarsltd, there is a current sort of dispute or discussion which involves the mispelled "Taboada" custom rolled cigars. The business seems to have a problem with provenance particularly with salomones.

So as not to distort, I honestly can't point to complaints about the quality of what Cgarsltd delivers. The complaints arise on 2 specific points (1) It appears that the VAT charged is going into the business' coffers instead of the Government's. (2) The custom rolled cigars appear to be advertised as rolled personally by or belonging to limited edition commissioned purchases - careful examination of the facts often don't jibe. All good Cuban tobacco, but hard to believe when the very roller billed with making the product tells you he was not rolling i.e. on vacation or not even in the country during the period the cigars were supposedly witnessed rolled, then top it off with the name of the roller spelled incorrectly. Deceptive if nothing else... (JMHO)
