Which cabinet number?

The very first box of cigars I ever had (actually a Christmas gift) was a box of Ashton VSG Cabinet # 3's. Little things, something like 5.5 X 42 (I'm guessing). But very, very nice. The wrapper felt like silk (and still feels like silk, 3 years later). Still have a couple in my humidor.

I'd like to try some other cabinet's. If you know the specific number (or just the size), please post it!

I don't know the number, but I do know it is the double corona.

If you were asking me, I think it was the Illusion. Now I just have to figure out where to get some more.

Oh yeah, and it's not a maduro and it's the A/F Añejo Shark that has the wrappers aged in cognac barrels. And they seem to be either out of stock or 150% msrp and up everywhere I try.

Still a great smoke.

Awesome review, man. I have been a fan of the Asthon series for a while now, but these days the cabinet series has been out of my budget. But you've just given me an incentive to put some money aside :)

Thanks. I've seen them as low as $10.40. Still a bit steep for me for a daily smoke but well within the range for a special occasion. I wonder if there would be enough interest in do a box split?

Tried a Tres Mystique last night... good smoke, but a bit overpowering. May have been due to the size, as this is a fairly short cigar. I've got another I may let rest awhile before trying it again.

The Ashton VSG is a different line of cigars than the Ashton Cabinet series.

The VSG is a strong full bodied cigar with an Ecaudorian sun grown wrapper. The Ashton Cabinet is a Conneticut shade mild to medium cigar that has a real buttery characteristic to it.

Both are made by the Fuente family in the Dominican Republic. Both are on the high end price wise, but they are both well made top of the line smokes.

I didn't know that Ashton was a Fuente brand. I just smoked my first Opus X the other day and the closest comparison I could make to something I've smoked before was to the Ashton VSG. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other sizes.

Just bought some Ashton cabinets on the recommendation of the owner of Cigar King in Skokie, IL. He said they'd go well with Scotch; that got me. Plan to open either my Talisker 175th anniversary single malt or Pappy van Winkle 23 yr old bourbon ($200 bottle, very limited supply)

If this is the case, why does it say Ashton Cabinet VSG? Are there two different Cabinet lines? Just curious. If anyone could clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it
