Thread: The Worst Ever

  1. Default The Worst Ever

    Hello All;

I figured I would ask you all about your WORST cigar smoking experience. The bad experience can be caused by a crappy cigar or external environmental factors, (People, weather, etc.), or just about anything. This should be interesting..........

I smoked an Acid Nasty once in the Car. First off, this was the worst cigar I have ever smoked, Second, I had the AC on recycle and now my air filter is impregnated with the "nasty" smell.

worst smoke would be ( im still a novice smoker only 18) a Cohiba Siglo 6 THAT I BOUGHT FOR $70 CAUSE OF CANADAIN TAXES! First off it was the biggest guage i had ever smoked so it was realy difficult for me to light, secondly iw as at a party so fucken EVRYONE wanted a puff, so by the time i got it back it was half gone to hot and the mouth pieces was complty soggy from peopel who dont know how to properly puff a cigar. I felt like I was sucking on a soggy piece of shit, so i had to ditch it, FUDGE WAS I PISSSED. not to mentino the alchol,

the one thing that made my night was the buds my firend brought to ezz my me up.( but tobbacco is better anyways)

Damn I hate those CANADAIN taxes. Just killer.

I've had several smokes ruined by insane, diarrhea-mouthed cigarette smokers hanging out in cigar shops. I try to block out the deluded ideas they are spewing, the self-aggrandizement, etc., but I wasn't ever able to salvage the moment.

Got pulled over with about $200 worth of cigars, officer wanted to cut them all open to see what was in them. After absolutly refusing I got to sit on the side of the road for about an hour till the drug dog showed up. Needless to say they found nothing.

Dude... I wouldn't let someone puff on my $7 cigar, much less a $70 one. Honestly, I think it's bad form (and unsanitary) of someone to ask for a puff on a cigar you're smoking. Now don't get me wrong, I'm generous enough to hand out a stick or two if someone wants to join me for a smoke, but I'd be real quick to tell them to off if they ask me for a puff on mine like it's a ghetto blunt or something.

Agreed, many of my friends are stuck in this bad habit from smoking crappy gas station flavoureds. I brought a few sticks out to MNF at the bar last night and had one for myself and 2 others accepted one, but they both got passed around to pretty much everyone at our table. Grossed me out. One guy asked to try mine (an Oliva O Bold Maduro mmmmm) and I told him flat out to go to hell. He's a good buddy though so it was all good.

a shotgun is where you put the lit end in your mouth and blow through it like a straw... not that I've ever done that before...

I've seen that done with a cigarette before, but I'd be deathly afraid of putting the lit end of a cigar in my mouth, they tend to be somewhat larger.

  12. Angry UPS Sucks a Fatty

Since I'm new to cigars, I haven't really had a 'bad experience' (*knocks on wood*)...let me just tell you about this instead:

I ordered my FIRST humidor, cigar cutter, sampler, last Friday night.

Of course this is like Christmas for me (given the circumstances) and I'm eagerly awaiting it. My tracking number PROMPTLY comes in on Monday from the company and the expected ship date is TODAY, September 13th.

I'm at my girlfriend's house last night (she's about 20 miles away) and realize that I forgot to put a note on the door to let UPS know to leave the package on the door. So I get up eaaaarly in the morning, sit in traffic, get to my house, put the note on the door and get to work with a minute to spare.

There I am clicking on my order to see that it's 'OUT FOR DELIVERY' at 5:00am this morning...yay! I get home from work, and to my surprise, NO PACKAGE. I call UPS (around 7:00pm) to see if there's a problem, she states there isn't and it's guaranteed to arrive tonight (she says the driver has a long route and it may get there later).

It is now 8:30pm and no package...*sigh* I'm pretty bummed right now....I doubt it'll get here tonight. I'll hope for the best that it didn't get lost / damaged...

I would have to say the time someone gave me a free JR Alternate. After a few puffs, i stubbed it out, ran to the bathroom, rinsed my mouth out several times, that didn't do the trick, so I induced vomiting, several times, but I could still taste it, so I bought a 2 liter of Dr Pepper and finally got that taste out of my mouth.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

  14. Default Update on the Humidor

So things get worse. I call UPS today and they tell me the reason they didn't deliver my package was because there were 'too many packages' to be delivered yesterday and they couldn't make it to my stop in time.

So 8:30pm rolls around tonight and low and behold is my package that I've waited 9 DAYS for. Company I ordered the humidor was nice and said they'd credit all my shipping back to my card.

So I open it up and there's my humidor....ah does it look pretty. So I open it up and the rubber inserts on the ends of the dividers are falling apart (no big deal)....until I notice the felt bottom. The felt is ripped and the right end of it is coming apart. Not only that but one of the dividers is a little chewed up on the edges....and there's a little gash on the front part of the humidor where you go to close it.

    My next reaction is:

Let alone I ordered a sample pack from these guys. Oh well, I'll tell them my sob story tomorrow...I'm hoping that they'll send me an expedited one for Friday.

What a crappy week I've been having...I tell ya.

Don't sweat the small stuff Godfather.

In a few months when you are buying your 150 quart monster white rhino sized coolerdor, you'll think back and laugh at this humidor dilemna.

A long time ago, I used to like to try "affordable" cigars offerend by JRs. I bought a bundle of some Don Diegos. They were ALL plugged like nothing I've ever experienced before. I was NOT happy.........

    Congratulations.

I've got a feeling I might be going the cooler-dor route before long. How about some pictures?

I'd post a picture of my cooler, but its just a cooler with digital hygrometer, a couple of humidifier jars (jelly) and a bunch of cigar boxes in it. Smells nice inside though .
I thought it was a tampon joke!
