Thread: Cigar Literature

  1. Default Cigar Literature

    Hey All;

    Recently I have been reading a lot of Cigar Books. (Ordering most of them off Chapters.ca) I was wondering if anyone enjoyed any books they would regard as great cigar literature. The following is a list of Cigar Books I have read recently:

    1. The Cigar Book: Up In Smoke (Pocket Book)
    2. Rudman's Cigar Buying Guide
    3. Cigarscapes
    4. Cigars of the World
    5. The Good Cigar (By far the best Cigar book I've ever read!)

    If anyone has any advice for more Cigar Literature, I'd appreciate it. Thanks All!

    The only thing I've read is the idiots guide; I just went online and found three books on cigars at my local library and reserved all three of them. I never thought of checking the library but there they were!! One of them is The Good Cigar.
    There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

    Do you have it?

    The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann features the Maria Mancini cigar in a prominent role. Maria Mancini returned the favor by naming a line after the book. I smoked a few and they're not very good. The book is hard work but rewarding if you like that kind of thing.

    My first and only cigar book was International Connoisseur's Guide to Cigars: The Art of Selecting and Smoking. I can't remember why I bought it. Maybe it was discounted. I wouldn't recommend it.

    I think so, the pictures alone make the book worth owning, IMO.
