like webcam for video conferencing and that kind of stuff? the logitech quickcam pro 4000 is the best i've found for that kind of stuff

Whatever web cam you get, if you're going to be using it for video conferencing, make sure it is firewire, NOT USB 2.0. USB 2.0 has a 400Mb/s throughput, but it is only Burst speed. Firewire is a sustained 400Mb/s speed, and video needs a sustained data rate. So, get firewire web-cams if you want high quality video conferencing. If you are only going to be taking pictures with the thing, buy a cheap 1-2 megapixel digital camera, it'll be cheaper than a webcam and more versatile.
