Default Help me, I can't pull up Cigarsmokers.com at home

I dunno why, but all of a sudden, I get "page can not be displayed" at home when I try to come here. I haven't added or deleted any software recently. I am going to run a virus scan and Ad Aware tonight, any other suggestions? Oh, and I also deleted all files and cookies under my Internet options.

Try deleting your Temp. files and cookies.

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options

There might be something in your temp. folder that is making cigarsmokers get hung up and not display. If this does not work try simply turning your computer off and letting it sit for about 1 minute. Turn it back on and see if it works. Computers can be temperamental sometimes, and it is just something stupid that needs to be fixed.

Whenever we have a bad storm like last night here at work, our internet never seems to work. I have to log into the router and reset the password and main account info. Then it works again, still have yet to figure out why this happens. We can log onto the network and share files between computers, but, the internet does not work.

IF you are using a DSL/CABLE router. Power cycle it. (turn it off for 30 seconds) Than power it back up. Wait for your router to obtain an new IP addy. Than try it again. Sometimes certain IP addys get blocked due to excessive traffic on certain ip routing tables etc etc..

I just typed up a bunch of troubleshooting steps, but decided to delete them :). Sounds like either a DNS issue or a routing issue.

If you're able to browse other websites, I think it's a problem on your Internet Service Provider's end. I'd simply tell them you have been unable to get to 'cigarsmokers.com' for the last few days and they should work with you on getting it resolved.

Again, I don't think this is a problem with your computer, I think it's on your provider's end.

I'd be willing to bet cigars on this one that it's your ISP's fault :).

I remember briefly not being able to access cigarsmokers.com on Friday and it was because the DNS server couldn't resolve it to an IP address. Later in the day it worked...my guess is your ISP's DNS server still hasn't gotten the update yet.

Sounds like it. Saturday we had an outage in our area, another big FU2 from Time Warner, the friendly Roadrunner people.

OK, I guess my ISP finally got their shit together, today is the first day in almost a week that I can get to this website from home. Thanks for all the suggestions, it worked!!!
