Thread: Optimo's Suck

  1. Default Optimo's Suck

I live in Grand Rapids, MI, and We have Admiral Tobacco stores here, not sure if they're nation-wide... and I bought an Optimo Cigar, possibly call Primo Optimo, or Optimo Primo, anyways it was the worst cigar I've ever had. Even short draws produce overheating, it kills your tongue, and quickly irritates your throat. I would advise anyone to not smoke these. It's got a picture of a man (I'm guessing a Cuban man) on the band on the protective tube. Easily the worst smoke ever.

Default Welcome to the board Sonny.....

Sorry you had to experience an Optimo. I never have and never will. But I did smoke Tiajuana Smalls when I was a kid. Oh my God. Did I admit that?

Technically, Optimos aren't even a cigar.

It's a log of dog with a brown paper bag wrapped around it!

Stay away from such brands as Optimo, Dutch Masters, White Owl (sorry George Burns) and the like. These gas station cigars are horrible, evil creations and will destroy your soul.

At first I struggled with the long post - but after re-reading it, I tossed it... And along comes Sid and says exactly what I wanted to say - in one short sentence...

    What he says!!!

I would have to agree in saying that Optimos (possibly not even a real cigar) suck!

those aren't meant to be smoked 'as-is.' they don't anticipate anyone actually smoking that filler. so, they fill it with the cheapest, crappiest tobacco they can find, so that good tobacco doesn't end up on the ground in the convenient store parking lot.

I've heard the same many times, that people buy cheap cigars so they can empty them and stuff them with weed. Can someone enlighten me as to how you can do this without wrecking the cigar? Not that I smoke weed, but I'm curious as I can't see how to do it.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

cut it down the side and re-role it. use saliva as the adhesive. doesn't work with real cigars. wrapper falls apart. works with swishers, phillies, optimos, keep movins.....maybe a few more.

Kinda makes you wander what a premium pot cigar would taiste like. Aged and rolled by people who have had there skills past down for generations. Maby someday...
