The sancho's are good. Also give him the Torano gold label. The Rocky Patel Connecticut are pretty good, and cheap.

Baccarat "The Game", has a slight sweetness to them.
I second Rocky Patel COnnecticut (had one today, in fact).
Roly's are good, too. They have a decent taste and are REAL cheap (just over a buck each)...

Montesino's are a great start - mild and reasonably priced. Of course, everyone who's new to cigars seems to rave about Macanudo's - they're also pretty mild, and on the cheaper side, generally...
george!!!!....friends don't let friends smoke macanudo's.....![]()
Personally, i like Te Amo Maduros (The maduros are like 40 cents more expensive than hte naturals, and are about twice as good). Classic Mexican 'gar. People either like them, or can't stand them. They have a unique spicy flavor that you don't find in many other cigars, and they're decently priced.
And Helix's are supposedly good. My Uncle smokes almost exclusivly helixes with his wife (what a catch eh? she smokes cigars with him), and he swears by them.

Never had a Te amo - I have heard only really good things and really bad things. That seems to fit with your post. I thinkI will pick one up this week.
Cigars are like booze and women, what taste good to your buddy may not taste so good to you.
...I think, with some work, there maybe a new tag line in there some where for me.![]()
