there are so many good cigars, why waste money on a te-amo....

there actually is a pretty good mexican cigar that was just released by altadis....a. turrent..

.........altadis has been hot with their releases recently, and the a.turrent is pretty good...
....there aren't many mexican cigar lovers these days.....imho,with good reason...

i'm not certain of the dates, but guessing in the 70's and 80's,te-amo was the most popular cigar in NYC......this was pre-boom...cigar sales,in general, were way down.....there wasn't alot of product.......as we entered the 90's and the boom took hold,te-amo became a forgotten brand...typical of most mexican product.
.......there was a new york ny edition of the te-amo (i think that's what it was called)....it was a tribute to the popularity in NYC.....i'd reccomend the turrent..but NOT the te-amo....

The Te-Amo is kinda my fall back cigar. I'll try new things when avail. but I guess i just like the flavor of the ole Te-Amo. Sometime, i just like to fallback on my old standby. I haven't really tried any other Mexican 'gars, so i can't vouch for them. Actually, i more of a Dominican fan (i've also never had a Cuban). I can say tho, is that, as said earlier

And the worst that could happen is that you'd be out <$5 or so, and you can try something different. And in most cases (aside form gas station smokes) a cigar you don't wholly care for is still better than no cigar. Better the devil you don't know, then the devil you do (or something like that )
