Default Need help figuring out what cigar this is..

Friend of mine who smokes occasionally was telling me about some cigar he got from someone that was real good ( ). He doesnt know what the name of it was but he asked me if I could figure out what it was. He said it came in a glass tube "that looked like it had gooey stuff poured on the top of it", so I showed him some Gurkha Gran Reserves I have and he said it looked like that but the stuff on the end of the tube was red. The only other one I know of is the Gurka Platnum and it has silver wax on it- never seen one with red. I was wanting to know if this cigar sounds familiar to anyone. Thanks.

Probably the Maker's Cigar, it's dipped or infused with Maker's Mark Bourbon

Ditto here. IMHO, that's the best reasonably-priced bourbon on the market.
    Now I'm intrigued.
If only Pappy Van Winkle would do the same....

Maker's Mark did a limited release of those same cigars. One was available last year during the election, it had black wax, and had the white "W" on the band. The other came out before/during inauguration to celebrate President Bush's victory. It had red wax and had an inscription on the tube, and a special band.

I have to agree with the gang here . I saw the Makers Mark cigars in the store last night . Red drippy stuff over the end of the tube .
