Default Perdomo Estate Selection Vintage Camaroon

Had one of the Perdomo Estate Selection Vintage Cameroon Maestro this evening. Some notes on the cigar.

First off I'm not big on special packaging, usually it just adds cost but this only comes in a fancy tube so theres no way around it.

The Tube is the nicest I've ever seen, cedar lined, really first class.

The cigar - impeccable construction, feel and burn. A+

The cigar itself was medium bodied with very smooth, slightly sweet taste. 6 inch 54 ring.

The flavor was more in line with the Silvio's than the other ESV.

All in all a dam good cigar.

Thanks for the review. I have some ISOM's by Perdomo. . . not sure how those are yet.

the isom's are just a bit better than dogshit....most everything else made by perdomo these days is drastically overpriced...that said,a perdomo reserve a that i had (and i had many) is still one of the best cigars i've ever smoked.....perdomo product hardly sells in my area.....

    Default Perdomo ISOMS????

    Wait a minute.........Perdomos are Nicaraguan.

Albeit the "Cuban" Parejos use the name "Cuban" they are Nicaraguan and I wouldn't think you'd refer to them as ISOMs.

I mean I guess I could have missed something. But I don't ever recall hearing of Nick P going to Cuba to make cigars.

Just my .02 cents! I am open to correction!

Also, I LOVE the Estate Seleccion line. In particular the Prestigio.

Ew. Cat shit is probably better than dog shit, and that's still nasty. I'll smoke one and see how it goes - the cigar store owner recommended them to me. They were 11.50 CDN each I think. I had bought two.

edit: All right you inspired me to go out and try one (ISOM). My torch is out of fuel, so trying to light it with a weak flame was hard and I charred it an inch in before lighting evenly. It burnt very slow and cooley. It went out about fifteen minutes in and I just left it outside and came in. It seemed very plain and boring.

BTW, this was a Robusto I think.

    Default Thanks BigPoppa!

I didn't think of those! I was thinking REAL ISOMS

IMO, a stupid name for a cigar.

yeah I had never heard of those. That is a dumb name. Are they JR exclusives?

    Default Yep.....

who else but Lew Rothman would market such a cigar.

Well, actually Thompson's probably would. But Lew beat em' to it!

Default Oh, and by the way......

    It's CamEroon not CamAroon.

Sorry, the Miss Crabtree in me crept out for a bit.
