Thread: Quick question.

    Default Quick question.

Ok I haven't posted recently, I've more or less been lurking, trying to learn more... And first of let me say you were all right when you said I'd give up the acid dipped cigars. It makes me sick to think of smoking one of those now! Currently I am into Rothchild Romeo Y Julietas and Zino Grand Classic Sumatras.

anyway, my question is do you leave your cigars wrpped or in their tubes, or do you put just the cigar in your humidor? I looked all over and cant seem to find an answer...

The consensus on this board seems to be to leave the wrappers on.

I'd say if it's in a tube, take the cap off.

Search "cellos", short for cellophane (wrappers). I came up w/ 5 threads. Wrappers, On or Off, gives the topic a pretty thourough treatment.

I'd say it all boils down to personal preference. If I am aging the cigars, I take the wrappers off, put the cigars back in their box and store them. If they are daily smokes, I leave them on mainly for convenience. If they are flavored, Acids, etc., I leave the wrapper on, in the box, and keep them in a separate humidor.

again it's a personal preferance thing. Personally, i go for naked cigars, all the time. However, the cigars i have are all more/less the same type, and even if they did merry it wouldn't have too much effect (actually, my "travel" 'dor only has the same cigars in it) so it wouldn't have any effect.

As I said in the other thread, I leave the wrappers on while they are in the coolidor, but once they get transfered to the humi, the wrappers get taken off.
