Someone told me that at a lot of the places as long as you are at a machine, drinks are free. You just need to tip the waitress, is this true??

    That's true of most casinos.

Unfortunately, the one casino I work with is COMPLETELY dry

    What Casino is that?

Turning Stone Resort & Casino in upstate NY.

My first trip up there I had complete whiteout conditions from Albany on (about 1.5 hours in normal weather). By the time I got there, my nerves were COMPLETELY shot and I needed a drink something fierce. THEN I find out the entire place is dry! Oh, but I could drive down to-- NO MORE DRIVING!

I don't think that there would be a dry casino in Las Vegas....my thought is that they would be out of business. I am all about going to the casino in the morning, getting drunk, going back in the afternoon and getting drunk some more.

That how my wife and I do it too. If you play the video poker game at the bar your ice never gets a chance to hit bottom. As you finish one they are putting another down for you. tip generously. At the machines they are not staffed well enough for a serious run at drinking to excess. For about $70 you can rent a Rascal for two days then you don't even stumble.

Somehow, I can picture you barrelling down Las Vegas Blvd in a rascal with a drink in one hand and big ole' churchill in the other..
