Depends on what you are going to ship. For the most part I use the USPS. They have great rates to Canada. If you are shipping something larger that the Post Office won't take. UPS would be next. They have the next best rates for international shipping. But, DHL is making a move at the market also, so I would check to see what rates they have to offer also.

I have shipped (cigar's) Canada a few times (~6 or 7). I just had my first problem last week using USPS Express Mail. I think it's hit or miss as I have always been honest on the customs form. They tried to charge the person I sent the package to $115 in taxes for $90 worth of cigars. F'n ridiculous.

I'm going to try again being a little vaguer on the custom's form to see how that works out.

Customs sucks, but they haven't nabbed me yet. I've only recieved 2 packages from the US so far though, YMMV

what's the deal with sending just a couple cigars through customs? What do you declare them as?

Just put "gift" with no value on the customs form.
