Howdy JJ. To be honest, I am somewhat leary of someone so new, to the board and cigars, participating. I think you should spend some time getting to know folks and do some personal trades and participate in the PIF etc., and develop a rep before getting in the SS.

Shagaroo is that going to be the call on JJ Westbrook that he'll have to wait until he is better known? He already sent me his info. Or we can let him in and just let anyone who has an issue with it pm me and I'll make sure they don't have him as their secret santa?


This also brings up another issue. One of the member's playing is from Canada and I have no idea about shipping to Canada? Is this going to make life difficult. If some one knows more about shipping between Countries please post the info. This way who ever ends up with him and who ever he ends up with will know what to expect?

Shipping to Canada isn't terribly painful. I just sent the Review These cigars up there last week to pyrofish. It's more expensive than shipping in the US and you need to jump through a couple hoops, but it's not all that bad. You do need the recipient's phone #, though.

i've traded with someone in canada. it was only $2 and it got there in 5 days.

If everyone is aware and has no problem with it, I won't stand in the way. I would like to hear more from the rest of the folks participating. I would just hate for someone to get a box of overpriced Macanudos. Not because JJ is a bad guy, just from inexperience and lack of sources. Perhaps if JJ agrees to run his package past you before he ships? It makes me nervous though.

I have to say I'm with Shagaroo on this one. It's not a slam on JJs character or anything but with him being so new he's an unknown variable. And something like Secret Santa can be completely ruined by a questionable package or someone not sending.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. Spend some time here, participate in some trades and PIFs and whatnot, and build up some credibility.

Don't feel left out, though... Most of us spent a long time here before we even got involved in trading...

Welcome to the board JJ. Hang around, ask questions, get in the PIF, newbie sampler, etc. Don't take this as a comment on your character - there's a lot of solid folks here. Give them a chance to get to know you.
