Thread: The Cigar Season

  1. Default The Cigar Season

    Hey All;

    I was just wondering if the time of year affects your smoking habits? I find that I smoke more during the fall and winter than during the summer....... Anyone notice any seasonal changes in smoking habits?

    well i usually smoke outside and in bars...

    so... when its winter time its less comfortable to smoke outside so i tend to smoke less cigars... and a little bit more on the hookah... since i can get away with the hookah in the dorms...

    Montana winters...brrrr. The smoking will definitely be on the downside during the cold months since I smoke outside only.
    Last night, for instance, it was a nice 34 degrees (which is just fine for smoking) but the wind was blowing to beat hell which made it feel WAY colder. I went out for one anyway to catch the meteor shower and it was well worth it. Counted 13 in one chilly hour.
    Plus, a vodka tonic and a nice stick on a starry summer night is about as good as it gets.

    I smoke more in the winter months. This is becuase I only smoke when I have time to. During the summer it is rare that I have the time to devote to a great cigar.

    Jstrider, how do you get away with smoking the shisha in the dorms? One of my friends from Egypt had one of those, but he got it confiscated as "drug paraphanalia", even though it was just tobacco in it.

    And I do tend to smoke a bit less when it's colder out, but it just depends on the week.

    I love the fall and winter months. This is my favorite time of year. I do smoke more this time of year than the summer and he is right. Outside (even with snow on the ground) by the fire with glass of scotch/brandy/wine/(insert your favorite drink here) and a good cigar. THAT is what life is for.
