Does anyone know if the El Rey del Mundo Robusto Largo is offered in a natural wrapper? I went to a few online sites and all I can find are maduro wrappers. If they are in natural also, anyone know a site which is selling them? Thanks.

I was thinking that the only nat. might be the "Zavalla" - mostly sold in boxes of 40 for around $120-130. To my surprise, a search turned up this: http://www.gothamcigars.com/elreydelmundo.html where all the Robusto, Robusto Larga, and Robusto Suprema are offered in oscuro and natural, as well as the Zavallas, in natural. I don't know the diff, but BigPoppaPuff will likely have some insight.

cool thanks, ever had any experience with that retailer?
I haven't had the maduro , only the oscuro . Don't know if there is a natural wrapper other than the oscuro . I just put a box of the oscuro in my coolidor that I got ripped for at a brick and mortar store in New Jersey , I guess the price was high because of the tax rate in NJ . Paid about $110.00 . I will only buy boxes in P.A. at b&m or on-line from now on . Most local b&m stores I've been to don't seem to want to sell full boxes in NJ . Try JR's or Holt's on-line for good prices .![]()
There isn't a maduro. And, oscuro isn't natural, it's a shade darker than mad. - their darkest wrapper. I have no idea what the zavalla is and have no experience with any of these cigars in natural. I can say that the three sizes, with oscuro wrappers, are all excellent, the regular robusto my favorite. I have had no dealings with gotham cigars. Holts, as bubba in NJ says, are reputable and good to deal with.

Basil, are you sure there isn't maduro? It is listed on Atlanticcigars and Holts, but nothing else. I heard good things about the natural, but not much on the oscuro. I was just going to buy a box and see what they are about.
Thank you for the wrapper lesson , I wasn't quite sure what the oscuro wrapper is . Good to know .Originally Posted by basil

98% sure - I'm betting that they're calling the oscuro a maduro. Not really a mistake on their part; most people - customers - are more familiar with the term "maduro" and are not likely to associate the term "oscuro" with dark wrapper.Originally Posted by cls515
