What makes this board so enjoyable? Let's THINK, all the members and their collaborative posts as a whole make it enjoyable.

It's NOT enjoyable when people like YOU manage to rub a lot of people here the wrong way. YOU brought this on YOURSELF.

But I dont just let 2000k posters intimidate, push, and poke without saying something.

WAKE UP call FPDoc, it's not just CC you rubbed the wrong way, but the majority of the ACTIVE posters on this board.

You owe several people on this board an apology for your behavior. If you notice several people calling you out, isn't it time to wake up, smell the roses and REALIZE something MIGHT be wrong with the way your attitude is coming across?

I had a funny feeling about this guy when he posted asking why we would chase TonyDogs out... Not it's as clear as can be to me - he's just like TonyDogs...

FP and Island - the best doctor's and lawyer's I know KNOW they have limitations. The worst are those that think they are superior to others, even if they clearly have weaknesses (such as your issues with spelling and grammar). Like it or not, you ARE judged by how you write. Face it and deal with it. You both look foolish, despite your weak arguments about why you think it's no big deal.

Again - what I find most interesting is you have two individuals who've only been on the cigar boards a very short time thinking they shouldn't be challenged at all. If you knew CC, you'd know he's officially called the "grammarian". It's very much expected of him. And neither one of you are immune to his doing "his thing". I have been gone for a few hours but it seems that I may have ignited a class 5 shit-storm here......... I figured I would weigh my opinion on this topic......

First of all - There is no need to act like a baby when someone corrects your grammar. Like I said in my last posts, I have no problem with being corrected. This is how you learn......... I just don't like it when grammar corrections ruin perfectly good cigar related discussions.......

Secondly - Doc you really should back down here....... I didn't start this post to say that people shouldn't ever contradict your grammar. I started it to address the fact that many good cigar discussions are being hampered by grammar problems......

Finally - I am actually a very good writer and speaker. HOWEVER, I do have a very heavy accent..... This accent always seems to show when I write in informal situations. I am very professional when it comes to the law.

Now, as for banning the Doc...... I am really not sure of this entire situation. Anyone know what he has done outside this thread?

C'mon, go look at his posts and decide for yourself. No offense but I'm sensing "laziness" kinda like being too lazy to proofread your posts. Also, just a few words of advice, your "accent" explanation is awfully weak........... I wouldn't recommend using it in the future.

A poster should make an effort to spell words correctly and use proper punctuation otherwise it makes the board look like a bunch of morons post here.

When I tell people message boards and if the check them out and see a bunch of slobs posting with constant spelling errors and a lazy, sloppy attitude they say "Why post there, those people are obviously stupid?"

I'm not perfect by any means but at least I do my best to write properly.

Your right…they shouldn’t have to be English essays.

The problem is, many people, when they write a post or response forget the only way we can tell what they are communicating is what they wrote. Someone, who doesn’t take the time to write what they are saying, check the sentence structure and spelling, and the reread what they wrote is someone that is most of the time typing with their emotions and not thinking about what the message is they‘re attempting to relay.

This is where most people make mistakes and then have to “back peddle” to try and say what they meant or save their reputation.

If they just took the time and check what they are writing and make sure the message they are trying to relay is correct, maybe, just maybe, we wouldn’t get the “wrong” message and get upset from their post. Remember, when you hit that post button, it’s the same thing as saying something to someone.

If you are not careful what you are saying, you may just say the wrong thing and that is the impression that person is going to have of you. You can’t take back what you just said, so you are stuck with that statement. Same thing as posting something on a message board.
