A poster should make an effort to spell words correctly and use proper punctuation otherwise it makes the board look like a bunch of morons post here.

When I tell people message boards and if the check them out and see a bunch of slobs posting with constant spelling errors and a lazy, sloppy attitude they say "Why post there, those people are obviously stupid?"

I'm not perfect by any means but at least I do my best to write properly.

Agreed, a poster should make an attempt to be somewhat literate. I however dont believe posts should be english essays.

Your right…they shouldn’t have to be English essays.

The problem is, many people, when they write a post or response forget the only way we can tell what they are communicating is what they wrote. Someone, who doesn’t take the time to write what they are saying, check the sentence structure and spelling, and the reread what they wrote is someone that is most of the time typing with their emotions and not thinking about what the message is they‘re attempting to relay.

This is where most people make mistakes and then have to “back peddle” to try and say what they meant or save their reputation.

If they just took the time and check what they are writing and make sure the message they are trying to relay is correct, maybe, just maybe, we wouldn’t get the “wrong” message and get upset from their post. Remember, when you hit that post button, it’s the same thing as saying something to someone.

If you are not careful what you are saying, you may just say the wrong thing and that is the impression that person is going to have of you. You can’t take back what you just said, so you are stuck with that statement. Same thing as posting something on a message board.

Actually Bill, there should be a comma after the word, "YOU'RE", and, this word should somehow be shown that you're using it to quote another person. More correctly, it should read: "YOU'RE, you dumbass."

There. Now the Texas crew is unanimous, and I'm going to log off before you throw that brick I can see you picking up right no . . . SHIT!
Equality is not seeing different things equally. It's seeing different things differently.

Yeah, okay fine BUT in your case, the comma is supposed to be INSIDE the quotations like this:

    "YOU'RE,"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahah......... .........

Still incorrect. It's "YOU'RE", you dumbass. Personally, I believe the quotation marks are being used incorrectly.

Ok, this shit has gone too far. Bill, face it, you're a fucking bully! Continuously showing your dominance over us by flexing your mastery of English grammar. How can you live with yourself knowing that you belittle us constantly? I mean, how much of this do you think we can take?! We're only human damnit! We have feelings too you SOB! I think you owe everyone here an apology!

Or, you whiny bastards can just STFU! "Mom, he corrected my spelling! Whaaaaa." Give me a fucking break.
