See CC...this is where you are mistaken. In the political post "your attention please" I stated the following.

Well I appreciate the sentiment. I appreciate the posts. The fact is I do enjoy being here. I think its a great site. Believe this...if people show respect I show respect. I dont respect post number or those that want to lay into someone just to lay into someone. I will say this I wont post another smart ass response unless one is dished out. There are many here that would like to see me gone. I say show everyone respect...new or old member. I want to talk cigars. Im smoking a nice one tonight...and plan one of my "sorry" reviews for later this evening. As of the statements made towards the first critique of my grammar I was off. I should have taken it as the light hearted comment that it was meant to be. For that I apologize. For the later bantor with basil, superman etc. Im not sorry because it was between me and the first poster. Dont get me wrong...I respect their honesty and even their up in your face posts. But IMHO if you dish it...you should respect a response. To CC...man I dont have a problem with you...but you seem to have a problem with me. I dont have ANY antimosity towards you as a person. We just dont see eye to eye. Maybe if I last here...we can grow to like each other. If we can back off this personal crap and talk about cigars, sports etc maybe we can find some common ground. If I offended or angered anyone I apologize that was not my intent. My intent was to change this anti-newbie mentality here. I am willing to risk a ban for that very purpose. Anyways this is how I feel...you guys can make the decision about whether I should stay.

An apology with continued attacks and slams is NOT an apology and you're too arrogant and self centered to ever understand that concept.

To quote SamClemmons from CigarPass:

OK, here is what I think.........

The Doc was out of line, and I originally supported a minor 30 day ban. Now that he has said he is sorry, I believe he should remain here with us.

While some people may not accept or see his apology, I do identify his apology. It is that simple. I feel he is a positive influence on the board, and thus should remain.

he's not in the minority so the poll says. he IS being annoying. i respectfully, yet strongly, disagree with you guys on this one, though.

CC, a lot of people have rubbed you the wrong way in the past and you and them have now learned to be civil to one another. roham, labmonkey, TSC, RY....i don't see why that can't happen here. i really think you're letting your anger get the best of you. there's a lot of arrogant smartasses around these board, and i know its extra offensive when its a newbie, but i really don't see why this guy should be banned.

If however, you don't accept his form of apology...... Just send him a private message outlining why you don't think he actually tendered an apology, tell him what you think he did wrong, and request an apology. We are all civilized adults here.

WOW, ya got me on that one. Can you please explain how he's a "positive influence" on the board? He's been here for 17 days and has spent most of that time embroiled in controversy, bragging about himself (kinda like you used to do IE which is why I suppose you do not find his behavior in this regard objectionable) and pissing people off, more so than anyone in the history of the board with the possible exception of Scotty.

And for the THIRD time is so-called "apology" is not a sincere apology (see the quote from SamClemmons above). He had the whole day to reflect on his behavior and came right back with his arrogance and refusal to admit he was and is still wrong.

I think the insight of a Doctor might be useful to the board...... I have always had medical questions when it comes to cigar smoke. It never hurts to have a sound medical opinion.

As for the apology, while I don't agree with what you say, I will defend your right to say it. That is just something you are going to have to tell the Doc.
