There is no better player on the market with better features or a better interface when it comes to moving stuff on to it from your PC. The interface on the iPod itself is also far superior to any other MP3 player interface. Definitely worth it!

And, don't listen to anyone who says, "But mine has a radio..." The whole point of an mp3 player of course is that you never have to listen to morons jabber all day long and never play music.

Finally, if you want to utilize it for your car, no better set of accessories than those that come for the iPod.

    Peace

I kind of miss my radio... My gym used an FM modulator for television audio, so I could listen to CNN or ESPN.

But now that I'm working on a building home gym, I can watch porn.

I bought an Archos Mp3 FM recorder a couple of years ago because I am a musician, and must record myself many times a week to hear what I really sound like. I would by an Ipod except for the sole reason that it doesn't have a recording device in it. They seem to be durable enough to last a while, but I would rather go to a Nomad 60Gig recorder or a sony recorder. This is not just voice recording, they have a line in to plug microphones in for high quality recording. Besides, my car doesn't have a cd player, and I have genre turrets, so I probably need something that can carry my 30+ Gigs of music on it.

Ipod is still the way to go..... I bought one of the first ones (3rd Gen) 40 GB..... works awesome. You might want to save the disk space for more music instead of getting the one that plays video.... depends on how big your collection is.

Apple did have better marketing.... and now all the other companies are jumping on the "coat tails" of the Ipod craze and coming out with there own MP3 players..... where were they before the Ipod craze.

Isn't it also amazing how alot of the new MP3 players are "white"..... hhmmmm where did they get that idea...... Microsoft's X360 is also white..... could it be that they learned from a better marketing company.... Many more accesories available for the Ipod also.

I also believe that Apple itself is more user friendly.... no drivers to worry about so that means no conflicting drivers....

Another great marketing job by Macintosh. Now if only they could figure out how to sell computers...

I think there are better products on the market myself, but really what it all boils down to is personal opinion.

I've always like Apple computers better because they were so simple, but eventually you get to a point where you can't practically buy another one. I have to use AutoCAD a lot, so that pretty much forces me to use a crappy windows machine.
    End of line.

What kinds of things do you design on autocad?

I like my IPod mini (4gb) a lot, shares a place in my heart with my PSP.
I thought it was a tampon joke!
