I generally have small cavities done without anything at all. I can't stand novacaine mouth.

Yeah, I had my root canal done with just a local too. Same with my wisdom teeth. The thing that bothers me ten times more than the pain is the water/blood that collects at the back of my mouth. I feel like I'm about to drown because I can't swallow. Bad teeth run in my family too, so I know how you feel.

my grandma gets her dental work without pain medication. i don't know how she does it but fillings, root canals, or what have you, no drugs.
