A few things

With an explanation being due, I think it's about time for me to post regarding the contest matter among others. The past few months, I've had more than ample time to think about things and what has transpired here on CSmokers. I understand that while I was upset about my treatment on this board by others, I was clearly in the wrong for ending a contest, not just for a reason, but for any reason. Shagaroo, to his credit, did offer to have me send the 'gars to the troops, but I blew my stack and took a potentially positive ending to the thread into the gutter. First, I owe an apology to members of the board for that whole fiasco. Second, I owe an apology to Shagaroo for thinking of him in such a maligned manner as I did. He did try and steer things clear, even with me continually being caustic about it. While he and I did have our disagreements in other threads, he was more than helpful in regards as to how to bring the contest to a good conclusion. I now see that he was an overall positive contributor to the contest thread. Third, I owe an apology to CC, who was more than helpful in the beginning part of the thread in getting the contest off the ground. We've gone rounds and rounds before, but CC was a helpful member of the contest. Obviously CC, our stuff goes back longer than one post may cover, that is why I'm PMing you and will choose to owe up to that at a later time per your views on the matter.

I've posted in the contest thread in regard to the winnings. I'd like for Shagaroo to PM me his addy(or a friend of his to do so) in order that I can send the 'gars to him.

More to come, but for now, I'll sign off and add thoughts later as there are a clutter of things coming to mind right now, and I don't want to cheat them out of the seriousness of consideration that they merit.

You know what Scott, I hope you mean it. I truly do. Everybody screws up, everybody screws up BIG at least once in their life, and I am not beyond forgiving and moving on. However, it is not going to be that easy. Even if you have to go out and purchase some domestics, send the sticks to the troops. That will set things right as far as anything directly between you and me. Though, you still have to answer for many other things you have said and done here and other places and to other BOTLs.

Let me go on record here before all of your heads explode over my post. By forgiving and moving on I don't mean that I will welcome Scott back as if nothing happened. I don't see any way he will ever be a respected BOTL again, but, for me personally, I won't spend the rest of my life despising somebody if they make an effort to change and remedy any direct conflicts I have with them. And no, I am not dismissing what he said and did to others. Scott pee'd in a lot of pools and he has to answer for it, but I am willing to wait and see if he really wants to clean them up before I heap any more outright hate on him.

Shagaroo makes a lot of sense but Scotty has done so much damage to himself with so many others that he's just about beyond the point of no return.

Scotty in regards to your PM to me, I've got absolutely nothing to say to you in PMs. You've repeatedly insulted me, taunted me, and pulled your arrogant, shitty, "I'm better than you" bullshit with me so many times it made my head spin. Hell, that's just me, never mind your arrogant and ignorant attitude towards the WHOLE COMMUNITY in general.

When you were called on your unacceptable behavior, you REFUSED to acknowledge it and just ignored it. Classic example is when after you were asked 20 or 30 times about your "Carthago Delenda Ext" sig tag.

I have absolutely no tolerance for this bullshit. You come in here and apologize to Shagaroo for deliberately screwing him in your contest and you apologize to me for your behavior in your contest thread but THAT'S IT? That's like someone who breaks into your house, steals your belongings, rapes your wife, shoots your dog and when he's caught only apologizes for tracking dirt in on your carpet.........

I gotta be honest... I'd love to see Scotty rehabilitated, but I have some serious reservations - given his past... Maybe he will, and that would be great - but at this point in time there is no history to suggest otherwise...
