By 201 B.C., the end of the Second Punic War (the war where Hannibal and his elephants crossed the Alps), Carthage no longer had her empire, but she was still a shrewd trading nation. By the middle of the second century Carthage was thriving and it was hurting the trade of those Romans who had investments in North Africa.
Marcus Cato, a respected senator, began to clamor "Carthago delenda est!" "Carthage must be destroyed!"

No shit but the question is what was SCOTTY'S reason for putting that in his sig tag here? It's not like he's a respected member of the Roman Senate or anything.........

MANY of us wondered exactly what Scotty thought should be "destroyed" it certainlly wasn't Carthage so what was it exactly?

This was typical Scotty, he'd do things to cause trouble and when called on it, he'd just ignore, then lie, be disrespectful, flame, insult, cause more disruptions, act arrogant, become irrational then go into a meltdown.

    LMAO!!

You pretty much hit it nhcigarfan But we honestly don't know which is why we kept asking him. Possibilities are:

    1. CigarPass - He HATES most everything associated with that site since he was banned for his ignorant, arrogant and nasty-ased attitude. In his warped mind, he sees his banning as a huge injustice but it was his own goddam fault.

    2. CigarSmokers - Another possibility since he came here looking for yet another cigar board to infect (he was already banned from CigarPass and he had ruined The Island of the Misfit Toys) and when he saw public opinion going against him once again, he wanted to see this place destroyed too.

    3. The "Establishment" meaning the respected and established members of cigar boards who frequently took him and his trolling, leg humping ways to task. Those would include:
    Me
    ggiese
    SamClemmons
    Hugh Jorgan
    Leebo
    etc.

    4. CoventryCat86 and/or ggiese. Yet another possibility for Scotty's version of "Carthage" no doubt he was on a mission to destroy me and or George. At first, he had a few members here sympathetic to his cause, he'd PM many members and lie to them about me and George in an attempt to make us look bad. It worked for a short while until the membership here became aware of his deceitful and underhanded ways.

    5. Who knows? Maybe something in his life outside of cigar bulletin boards. After all, I have a "Houston Astros" symbol in my sigtag but that's pretty self explanatory.

Bottom line is he was repeatedly asked the question and he never answered it....
