Another Meltdown in chat room

nicely stated,basil.....as the father of a NYPD officer who works overnights in harlem,and has been involved in a fatal shootout,i find myself very intolerant of anti-LE talk.
i'd love to know the details of the shooting,but pretty sure i'm on the side of the police......
regarding the discharge from the USMC.....they don't generally make mistakes...if you got one...you deserved it....

Everything quoted came after the fact that someone in the room tore into me about I was an attention whore, and everything that I was involved in turned negative instatly.

The appollogy was sincere- take it or leave it.

My friend was in a convience store, the officer had just came from the scene of a shooting. My friend was standing in line waiting to pay and his cell phone went off (was on vibrate). He reached to the inside of his jacket pocket to get it and the officer without warning shot him- thinking he was going for a gun. The officer lost his job and pension but never went to jail. I was wrong to assume that all officers are this way, and I normally do not.

My discharge was of personal matter and I am not going to discuss it here.

I do not agree with "what happens in chat stays in chat"..... the chat room is also part of this BB.... He made derogatory statements to all LEO.... I know for a fact that there are quite a few of us on this BB and many others. I think that what is said there is the same as saying it here.

So if someone goes into the chat room and says, "hey, I'm giving my kid in the Secret Santa all dog rockets" or "hey, I'm in Sean's pass, I'm gonna screw up the pass", we should just say..... "well, what happens in chat stays in chat".... I don't think so..... that room is as much a part of this BB as each and every thread.....

If ya don't want something you said to bite you in the ass...... then think before you speak.

i agree with tommy....and,though i sense that the apology may be sincere,i don't for a second believe the story about the shooting. the story you tell is the story you'd like to believe.
regarding your discharge from the USMC,i'm sorry about your problem,i hope things are better for you....

I would love to see a newspapers account of that store shooting. I'm going to say bullshit on your side of the story. Man shot by cop for reaching in pocket on line? Please!

As for dishonorable discharge? It doesn't surprise me with the way you handle yourself here. The surpise to me is that it wasn't a court martial. Maybe that's why you have this anger towards cops. Where you arrested when you served?

I definately agree with Tommy. Hex, I think that is a terrible philosophy.

And for TSCs apology, I don't for one minute believe it's sincere. I think he's just trying to squirm out of the mess he's put himself in. As far as I'm concerned, TSC should be finished here. I know some might feel that banning members, that to some have gotten way out of line, may be a bit "soup nazi-ish" but you have to have certain expectations of members (IE not to disrespect other members, at least when it's this extreme), and have to penalize them when they fail to meet those expectations.

I am personally sick of the asshats getting away with so much (not just here) and feel that enough is enough. Time to move to a zero tolerance policy for the dumbasses.
