I personally don't remember this guy or any of his posts but he obviously has no clue what he's talking about. If he's talking trash about ET then he has no credibility because ET, along with 99% of the people I meet on this forum, are all great BOTL who couldn't be a better person. I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

If not, then I've spoken my mind. I have done some research on the topic so I do have a clue as to what I am talking about. First off I’d like to say hello and thank you to bigpoppapuff for inviting me to come check things out. Second, I stand by what I said CC. I don’t have my head shoved up anywhere. I just give Eric the benefit of the doubt. Many of the statements that I’ve seen you post that pertain to members of our board shows just plain ignorance. You haven’t spoken one word to me but have already made a judgment on me. I don’t know who you think you are to have that right but I don’t see how you can talk about members such as tfire who have said things you didn’t like when all you seem to do it talk trash. You’ve made a list of members who “have their head up TBS’s ass.” These members are very respectable people whom I consider to be friends. You also make accusations towards LZ of being a “moron.” LZ (Bob) is one of the most knowledgeable and respectable people who I have ever come across. I think you need to let this go, as does Eric. I still don’t know the entire story but it is (or at least should be) far in the past. As far as I know we’re all adults here and as far as I’m concerned this needs to end. CC, you need to let this go, period. Whatever Eric did or didn’t do, it’s all in the past. There’s no need for you to attack members of what you all like to call “SploogieChat.” If this is how you go about your business, then I am sorry but I stand by my statement of calling you a loser. And as for me saying that I’m behind Eric and saying that I would help, I was saying I would take the time to delete any possible posts that may cause problems on the forum. I didn’t want SC to undergo what has gone on here. So CC, take my words as you wish. Gentlemen, I have tried to approach you all with both respect and good natured humor to serve as a means of resolving this situation and bridging the divide between our memberships. Unfortunately, it seems as if the plurality has not yet reached a point where they seek resolution. Ad hominem attacks on both sides have become the call of the day and for this I truly am sorry, for both sides.
In the brief time that I have been "held hostage" on your forum a number of people have approached me in friendship and for this I am both humbled and ingratiated. To these people I apologize for not taking the opportunity to get to know you better. It is my loss I am sure. These individuals represent the very best your forum and our hobby has to offer. I tip my hat to you.
Unfortunately, these voices have been drowned out by those of malice. This is their right and I judge them not. I simply choose not to subscribe to such behavior. I will make a joke. I will attempt to tease and roast. I will not partake in character assassination. To those preeminent examples of the best of CS I ask you but one question: What is the first impression one formulates upon seeing the outward, prolific, and graphic use of profanity herewith? An icon flipping the bird? Are these the traits you want to define your forum? Is this thread endemic of all the threads here? This is not the forum for me. This is not to cast aspersions upon it or those who call it home but is rather a personal choice.
I will do all that is possible within the constraints of my limited influence and power to put this sad chapter behind us on Stogie Chat up to and including endorsing and recommmending the deletion of all threads involved. Eric and everyone involved has simply put too much time and effort into creating a community that I and nine hundred botl call home to allow this incident to serve as any semblence of a defining moment. I can honestly say that it is not. We all have chosen the forum that best coincides with our individual temperments and personalities. I humbly beseach you to all divert your efforts to making this forum the premier example of cigar enjoyment just as we at SC will do so on our forum.
I wish you all peace for it is in peace that I leave you. I ask you to refrain from further attacks on Stogie Chat, Eric, TBS, and my friends as I will encourage them to do so for you. Now I will proudly go to stand in line with my friends.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your views about Eric Turner, TBS Cigars, StogieChat, and specific members of that board. Clearly the only view I have is based upon some very minor readings in the distant past, and what has happened recently.
Based upon my take of the whole situation, Eric has brought himself into the limelight recently. He came to this site (amongst others) initially as an unpaid advertiser. Some have heard of Eric and TBS cigars before - to be honest - I had not. But - based upon his postings here and other boards, I'd be hard pressed to ever do business with an individual who puts himself in the light as a short tempered, unbalanced businessman. No low priced premium cigar is going to change my impressions in that regard.
As far as defending your child. I am the parent of several teenaged children. I love those little critters dearly. The rambunctious little hooligans manage to drive their old man nuts with their shenanigans from time to time. That doesn't mean I don't love them less - I just love them in a different way. When you say they are my "babies", and I would defend them - you're damn right!!! However, would I defend them to the point that I would deny they are rambunctious little hooligans hell bent on their shenanigans? Not even!!!
You've got Eric doing some interesting things to drum up business. Certainly expanding your market into other cigar boards as an unpaid advertiser opens you up a tad. Questions are going to be asked. And if Eric is the "parent" of his "baby", he should honestly and openly answer any questions put to him. Or - better yet - let the company speak for itself. If he's of the mind to "vigorously" defend his business (as he has done here an other places - with rude, nasty, trolling behavior), I think he can fully expect the type of treatment he's received. If Eric's business is as good as you say it is - he shouldn't have to defend it, Rob. It should speak for itself.
As far as the members of StogieChat - there is no doubt some great people over there. But there are also those that talk out of one side of their mouth on this board, and then do exactly what they preach against on StogieChat. That is just plain wrong. If you have a problem, and you go to another board because you want to rid yourself of that problem - EXCELLENT - not every board was made to accomodate everyone's personal likes and dislikes. You gotta make some choices about what you will and will not tolerate. StogieChat is not the right fit for some - while it's near perfect for others. Same with CigarSmokers.
But, in my view, it is not right to rid yourself of your problem, and then move to the next board and make the problem the topic of conversation. Sorry - to me that's just absolute hypocrisy (FALSENESS) at its very core. You don't need to defend who I'm talking about - his very own words speak well for him!!! You don't want stress - yet your blood boils when you see someone posting and it's not in your new digs??? How would you possibly know if you don't pay attention??? Sorry - I don't buy the argument that you are highly offended and distraught by seeing mangled dead bodies at an accident site when you slow down and gawk - that just doesn't make any sense to me....
Bottom line - you don't want to be criticized - don't place yourself in a critical light... Eric and others don't seem to understand that concept and the chase goes on. I believe you can clearly see CC doesn't mind being in the critical light, even though he is being highly criticized... It will never end if Eric and others choose to continue this nonsense.
