The beauty of buying on line is that you don't have to pay local and state taxes. Yes you are supposed to but I don't know anyone who does. I have been ordering cigars since 1985 when I started ordering from JRcigars. I have never once paid a tax.

well, if you are ordering from a vendor from your same state, you'll be taxed.

If you want to avoid the tax in your state, have your tobacconist send an empty box to a friend in another state so you can avoid the tax. Where there is a will there is a way.

So it seems the question here now is how easily could I get caught?

I dunno...I'm pretty paranoid. I might just stick with my local shop. They're a great bunch of guys. Just gotta stick with the one shop and make good friends. Well, we're fast on our way there. They were suprised to see us back so soon today, and helped pick out some more smokes. My roommate got a Joya de Nicaragua. He hasn't smoked it yet. I'm curious abou it myself.

You can't get that online. Friendly service. And a walk in humidor that making you think you've died and gone to heaven. It's a really neat place. The prices are really pretty much the same, except when it comes to boxes. And when it comes time for that, they may cut me a "friend discount" I wonder if he sells humidors there...I just might need to invest in one of those

Sorry for my ramblings. I'm just excited is all. And tired. And when the two mix, you never know what comes out.

Holy crap dude, cigars make me horny too, but there is no way I'm gonna put my cigar in my cousin's humidor (I don't care how hot she is)!

Seriously though, if you're happy with the service and the prices seem fair to you, there's nothing wrong with giving your local guy your business. You're keeping your money in town and you have plenty of sticks to try before you get down to dropping money on a box. Just remember to enjoy the ride!
