Joya de Nicaragua is a kick to the face

I just smoked my first Joya de Nicaragua tonight and I could hardly take the whole thing down.. anyone else can't take the Nicaragua?

i'm guessing that the JdN that you had was not the original,but rather,the antano or celebracion......

Yeah. I'm with you there. I had one a while back and it almost knocked me down. That's a pretty strong cigar. At least in my experiance.

The Antanos are probably my favorite non-Cuban cigar right now. Good flavor and a plenty powerful.

The Antano is a very strong Nicaraguan puro that will knock out even the most seasoned cigar smoker. I would never think about smoking one on an empty stomach. They are a very tasty cigar if you like the flavor of Nicaraguan tobacco. The price also makes it very attractive.
