I have seen a similar post for a leather case and it got me wondering about a wooden one.
Have also read elsewhere that just wetting your finger and wiping the inside of the case and letting it dry a little is enough to keep the moisture in the sticks for a night out.[/QUOTE]
What kind of "wooden case" are we talking here? I'm assuming something like a small suitcase. If so, I would toss a small tube of humidity beads in there and check them on occasion.

Also my cigars are currently just in aluminium tubes when I get my humidor should i take them out of the tubes for storing?
In or out of tubes is a matter of taste. What you should do is put them in a freezer bag. Tubes don't keep moisture in.
