Best place for Custom Banded Cigars

What is the best place to get custom banded cigars? I would prefer a better quality cigar than the cheap bundles that most places offer.

It is the 20th Anniversary of my Real Estate company and I want to buy a fairly large quantity to use during the year for handing to clients. I can design a band if I know the dimensions. I just don't want the normal bundled crap that companies like Victory sell.

That's exactly what my friend did for his business. He picked up a couple of bundles and found some paper at a local print shop. They helped him find a nice light weight paper similar to some bands he brought in and then he sicced his two high school sons on designing him a band. Some trial and error later they had a really nice band with his company's logo.
Probably the only negative was the lack of any gold or silver foil trim but I think they turned out really nice.
If I can get ahold of him I'll get a picture if you're interested.

I am the Chief Operating Officer and Partner. I didn't start the company.

I'm all for buying some boxes and then making a label. How would I attach them to the cigar, without making it look like I did it myself?

If you're dextrous and your labels are a little larger, you might be able to use a small piece of double-sided tape. if you poke around a craft store, you can probably find some "mounting corners" that are small pieces of double-sided tape (the intended purpose is mounting photographs).

This one is a bit of a gamble, but it may work out:

An old homebrewer's trick... Labels can be stuck on beer bottles using milk. Fill a saucer with a thin layer of milk, dip the label in, bottle side down, and stick the label to the bottle. While the milk is wet, it can be positioned easily and when it dries, it sticks real good. For homebrewing, it has the added advantage of coming right off with a little hot water.

The same concept might be used on cigar bands. When you're wrapping the band around the cigar, dab a little milk between the overlap with a Q-Tip. You should be able to slide the band around a little to get it tight and when it dries, you should end up with a well-stuck band. The voice inside my head is terrified of getting milk on my cigars, but I can't imagine a droplet will do much harm...

You can get it at craft stores, probably Walmart; it's basically little pieces of double-sided adhesive that is super thin and stable (so you don't have any run onto the 'gar). It's also nice because if you screw up, you can just peel it off and reaffix without ruining your band. Good Luck!

You could also use liquid pectin..... youcan find it it in the canning section of Wal-Mart..... just have one end of the label overlap the other end. Even if you get a little pectin on the cigar, no big deal.... that is what I use to repair a wrapper that is unraveling from a cigar.

The wrapper on a Cuban Partagas Deluxe tubo (which I plan on smoking Sunday) I have is unraveling. I'll try that out.
