you mentioned two names in the post "chumley's..bedford & barrow."... which is actually the name of the place?
chumley's is the place...i believe it's at 86 bedford....at barrow...there is no sign,btw...goes back to the early days....also one of the few places in nyc that has a working fireplace...and you may run into a star or two...
Ground Zero , it's been cleaned up , a BIG hole in the city now , I was awstruck by the size of it and then there's the emotional part of it too . Also , if you're a baseball fan , I believe you can take a tour of Yankee Stadium . Great old stadium with lots of character and charm . Enjoy your trip and the new gig .
The best experince I have had in the "Greatest city in the World" have revoled around just expolring. I stayed at a friends place on Broadway and everynight we just walked the city and found a new restuarant or museum or bar/club. There are so many things to do I reccomend that you try this at least once. Wish I was there.![]()
