Here are some thoughts:

Pre-Light

Beautiful wrapper, smooth and silky, the color of coffee and cream. Nice mellow aroma. Beautiful band and the characteristic laser etched logo. Nice and firm to the touch. I clipped it and the draw was firm but not tight.

Smoking Characteristics

Initial puffs were tasty. I generally prefer maduros but this cigar, while not strong flavored or overpowering in strength had nice flavors. Slightly nutty, and leathery an generally a nice mellow flavor. The ash was impeccable and only because I do not like a long ash I had to work at tappin it off when it reached an inch or so. About half-way through the flavors deepened and became a bit richer and more pronounced but still not overpowering. At about 3/4 through the draw tightened up so I clipped a bit more off (I did not clip iit very deep at first) and it opened up beautifully. Throughout this cigar produced nice rich flavorful smoke.

Overall Impression

A vey nice cigar for a change from the maduros I generally smoke. Other than being a bit on the mild side I cannot say anything bad about this cigar. If you like mild to medium cigars with nice flavor this is a good choice. On a CA rating scale I would give this smoke a very respectable 89.
I had this as my "special" New Years smoke.......man was it good. The review above is right on the money, and basically from the same perspective as mine as I normally enjoy maduro wrappers as well. I was pleased with the depth of the flavor in this smoke, while still retaining the mild-medium strength characteristics. The burn and ash were both flawless, and the draw remained nice throughout the smoke.

My local b/m has these reduced right now, and I am on my way to deplete his remaining stock. I can't wait to try the MB3, which should be hitting the shelf this week according to the tobacconist.
