    Default Coolerdor finished!

Well, I went hunting for a cooler on clearance this weekend. I found Coleman 50 quart forest green coolers on clearance for $12. The digital thermometer/hygrometer was $6. I got two of the humidifying gel filled tubes on sale for $5 each.

I put all the cigar boxes in the humi and it's up to 67% RH and holding! I've got a nice asst. of about 100 cigars in there. I'm set for a while now! I'll try and get some pics. I've got a digital camera, but does anyone know a place to host pictures for free?

I've got Comcast broadband at home. Don't they usually give some web hosting space with an account like that? I'm sure they do. I just have to figure out where to go to register and upload.

That is a damn good deal on the digital unit. Where, may I ask, did you get it?

Your local Wal-Mart! It's made for household use. Anything labeled for use with cigars becomes a specialty item. Specialty items always merit a large markup in price.

Kenyth, sounds like you've got the perfect set up!!

Now granted, the ole "coolerdor" doesn't qualify as a nice piece of furniture BUT I still think you can't beat them for functionality and reliability especially when you outfit it with beads.

Pretty soon, you'll be building a 120 quart coolerdor.

    Thanks CC!

Come to think of it, they had 120 quart forest green coolers on clearance for $30 too. Go to Wal-Mart and get 'em while they're hot guys! Though I guess I'm not sure if clearances like that are nationwide or not.

Yeah, this one will take up residence in the basement. Though it's not nice hardwood furniture, it does have holders in the top for beer and a built-in ruler to measure your cigar with. See if you can find a hardwood humidor with those options!

After I didn't get a humidor for X-mas, I figured I needed to do something about the makeshift storage I was using. I have all the room I need now, and all for under thirty bucks!

I skipped the smaller ones and went right to the 150. Surprising how much stuff you end up with. At my current rate I'm think this time next year I will be working on my second 150.

    Need to smoke more.

Sounds great . It is amazing how many cigars that can fit into a coolidor . I have a 70 qt. and it just keeps on swallowing the sticks up , still have plenty of room . Now if they only made a cooler with a factory lock installed , to keep curious little kiddies out . If I come up with a solution , I'll be sure to share it .

thats not too hard to solve. get you one of those cabel locks and run it through the handles on either side. It in a sens would strap down the top. keeps kids out.

I'm looking for something that looks a little better then a cable and lock , good idea though for a temporary solution . I have a few different types of locks at work that I'll take a look at to see if any ideas come to my mind .
