You could try gluing the velcro down and then letting it air out for a while to make sure there isn't any glue smell.

I did try using namebrand (3M) sticky back velcro but I still get the same problem, I am trying to get to the point where the humidifier is firmly attached but can be unscrewed.
I thought it was a tampon joke!
On the humidors I build I use a screw through the body of the humidifier into the lid. Of course you can only do this if you're using a two piece body like a Nonpireill![]()

It now seems I have sorted out the problem.
I removed the double sided tape that was supplied and replaced it with some outdoor 3M double sided tape, basically covering the plate. I think stuck it on the humidor and it hasnt moved since :)

Now I have to get some good steady humdity in there its going way too high at about 75-78%
