How many types are there? I'm finding a very wide range in price. Anywhere from $10 a stick to $35 and then $50 for the limited. Is there something I'm missing?

where have you seen them for $10.00 a stick?
George, Those MSRPs in the second link seem to be too good to be true. I would not be able to find anything even close to that price locally for the Opus or Anejo. Are your shops in the Windy City charging close to those amounts? Do you know of a site that sells singles or fivers in those price ranges? If so, I will have to do a little shopping.Originally Posted by ggiese

Opus prices at my shop are a little above what is posted in that thread (maybe $1 or $2). That's generally due to wholesale tobacco prices in Illinois. I know California gets RAPED by their taxes...
MSRP on Opus' is not REALLY difficult to find - usually on the cigar boards - you just really have to be patient and wait for the sales to come...

Hi Folks -
I called OVTC today and checked to see if they have an Opus Xs. They currently have a very limited stock of the Perfecxion #4s at the MSRP of $9.30 - limit 4 per person. Call to make sure they have the stock - the display on line is not real-time.
Good luck.![]()
Yep, Old VA Company has them for under $10 a stick depending on size. I bought the Robusto from my local smoke shop for around $12. I haven't smoked it yet and gathering from all the hype this is a pretty good smoke. What type environment would enable me to get the most out of it?
Here is the list of Opus msrp's with no taxes. There are a few states such as Flroida that has no tobacco tax.

If anyone knows of any authorized dealers who are gouging on their Opus please get in touch with me and I will pass the info on to the approriate people at Fuente.
Here is the place to check if your local dealer is an authorized Opus dealer.

Well, I originally posted this questions because of the prices I saw on Cigar.com The price for a single Robusto according to their site is $33.95

Avoid cigar.com at all costs. They are EXTREME GOUGERS . Avoid TBS cigars .com and avoid tobaccoworld cigars.com .

now you tell me, lol
Virginia in the House. You can all thank me for that!!! hahahahaha................yea prices around here are suprisingly cheap. Only a few stores I know in the Richmond, Chesterfield area that are little expensive, and one is Havana Connections, but they have a huge selection, so they make up for it. Just ask Newfie for the lsit or go to www.havanaconnections.com for the list. If you see anything, just ask me and I can pick it up for you and send it in the mail or call and see if they will ship.Originally Posted by cyras21

I just paid 10 bucks for a power ranger last week.

My local shop just got some in a few days ago, and priced them from $8 up to I think $14 (they had a limit of 2 on all of them though). Sorry I don't remember what all they had. Wanted to buy a few but me without a job just couldn't do it![]()

hey uk,
I am just a little north of you; which store where you in?
Not sure if they ship but you can call

They have some anejo 48's for 9.95
That is an interesting site there at "havanconnections". Do they have a phone number where I can call them? I'd like to see what their prices are and find out what they have in stock. I would love to find somewhere I could buy a 5-pack of Anejos for a reasonable price (like that would be possible at this time of year...but a man has to dream, doesn't he?!?)Originally Posted by Leeroy_Fan
EDIT: I just noticed nh's post. I read from the oldest to the newest and I should read all the posts before I start asking questions. I am going to check out Two Guys right now. THANKS nhcigarFan; I hope they have some in stock.
EDIT2: 2 Guys doesn't appear to have Anejo in stock or least not listed on their site. I will call them tomorrow.

puro pot pass VI loser
I picked up an Opus X petite lancero today at a local b&m for 12 something. I was in there buying some good butane and decided to see what the hype was about. I don't know if that is a great price or not but it sounded reasonable for one stick.
