George, Those MSRPs in the second link seem to be too good to be true. I would not be able to find anything even close to that price locally for the Opus or Anejo. Are your shops in the Windy City charging close to those amounts? Do you know of a site that sells singles or fivers in those price ranges? If so, I will have to do a little shopping.

Your state SUCKS for buying cigars...

Opus prices at my shop are a little above what is posted in that thread (maybe $1 or $2). That's generally due to wholesale tobacco prices in Illinois. I know California gets RAPED by their taxes...

MSRP on Opus' is not REALLY difficult to find - usually on the cigar boards - you just really have to be patient and wait for the sales to come...

Lightbulb Opus Xs at Old Virginia Tobacco Co.

    Hi Folks -

I called OVTC today and checked to see if they have an Opus Xs. They currently have a very limited stock of the Perfecxion #4s at the MSRP of $9.30 - limit 4 per person. Call to make sure they have the stock - the display on line is not real-time.

    Good luck.

Yep, Old VA Company has them for under $10 a stick depending on size. I bought the Robusto from my local smoke shop for around $12. I haven't smoked it yet and gathering from all the hype this is a pretty good smoke. What type environment would enable me to get the most out of it?

Here is the list of Opus msrp's with no taxes. There are a few states such as Flroida that has no tobacco tax.

If anyone knows of any authorized dealers who are gouging on their Opus please get in touch with me and I will pass the info on to the approriate people at Fuente.

Here is the place to check if your local dealer is an authorized Opus dealer.

Virginia in the House. You can all thank me for that!!! hahahahaha................yea prices around here are suprisingly cheap. Only a few stores I know in the Richmond, Chesterfield area that are little expensive, and one is Havana Connections, but they have a huge selection, so they make up for it. Just ask Newfie for the lsit or go to www.havanaconnections.com for the list. If you see anything, just ask me and I can pick it up for you and send it in the mail or call and see if they will ship.
