No offense Jack, but things aren't done that way around here. I realize you are not really part of the board unless Hex is unavailable so you aren't up to speed on things, but we are a self moderated community until someone needs to get kicked to the curb. Namely, people like this asshat bsterr. Somone screws up, noob or otherwise, they get called on it. Hex likes it that way, and so do we.

Someone reported it and I got an alert or I probably wouldn't have come back in this thread. I read the first post and decided commenting on it wasn't worth my time. Unfortunately I don't have the time to commit to participating in the forums as much as I want. Work blocks cigar related sites.

If you don't have a good answer, why waste your time writing up a post?

Because idiocy attracts sarcasm like flies to shit.

If ya don't want to get smeared with shit, stop stirring the pot with inflammatory statements like " If you smoke one cigar per day, you will probably get cancer". Which ass did you pull that factoid from, yours or a friends?
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

Actually, closer to on original topic... :)

Has anyone ever seen a report comparing "natural" cigarette use to "brand name" cigarette use? When I was smoking cigarettes, I would occasionally pick up a pack of American Spirits, which doesn't contain all the crap the big names do...

I've been wondering how much of the reportedly bad effects of cigarette use are due to all the crap that's put in there to make them stay fresh and burn fast and make you see leprechauns.

I would like to see a report like that. I bet it would find that a large percentage of the cancers attributed to cigarette smoke where actually caused by the additives and not the tobacco. I believe that is why there aren't a lot of reports conclusively condemning moderate cigar smoking.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to find that cancer rates are much higher with cigarette smokers than with cigar smokers and all-natural tobacco cigarette smokers. Maybe the PTB don't want people finding out its the additives that make people sick, cause then the anti-smoke nazis would lose all their steam. Suddenly we'd have the scientific evidence to say "Well, since my cigar does NOT cause high rates of cancer any more than a thousand other things, I'll be lighting up where I damn well please!" Heh.
